The company originally known as Art House Furniture has been in operation since April 1996, enjoying a consistent level of growth during this time. The name change combines the surnames of our savvy professionals Matthew Shute, Director and Michael Merlino, Designer
Shutemerlino use the latest available technologies in its daily activities. All our designs are prepared on a CAD platform that has been adapted to best service all aspects of design and drafting. This then allows us to produce a comprehensive model of your furniture, which can be viewed at any angle to allow you to visualise the end product before it is built. This is an invaluable tool, which has enhanced the entire design process.

Shutemerlino has released their first stage of brand new contemporary designer furniture suitable for residential or commercial applications.
Focusing on a more simplistic approach towards furniture design the pieces illustrate the relationship between natural and man-made elements by combining the longevity of timber with modern design – and introducing colour to make a bold statement. With the use of natural and man made materials the pieces create a presence of their own that is both sleek and stylish.
Experienced in contemporary product design and manufacture, both designers are dedicated to enriching lives through elements of art and design, coupled with a strong commitment to environmental awareness and protection.
The furniture range is made up of media & sideboard units, dining settings, coffee tables and occasional pieces. The range features a choice of designer laminates, polyurethane two pack and a selection of solid timbers and veneers. Added to this is the new ‘Enviro’ range that incorporates recycled solid timbers into contemporary designs. The inherent beauty, rich colour depth and characteristics of designing with aged timbers are beyond compare and more importantly, better for the environment.
The factory includes a Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machine that enables parts and components to be digitally machined, ensuring accuracy and fit. It also allows for more intricate work such as routing company logos, lettering and detail in tabletops and panels.
The release of these designs is the first phase of designer furniture. The development of office and bedroom furniture, as well as an extended range of media, sideboard, dining and coffee tables, is currently underway.
